WHAT ARE ROULETTE SYSTEMS?

Roulette systems can be confusing, regardless of whether you’re a roulette newbie or a seasoned pro. From the distinct difference between positive and negative progression systems, to the different variants and how to tell them apart, there’s a lot more to roulette systems than you may think. Well, let me be your guide and try to cover it all.

Since the birth of roulette there has been many players hoping to gain an edge over the house. Unfortunately, the phrase “the house always wins” rings too true for some players’ liking, which has led to the birth of roulette systems. A roulette system is a strategy that a player follows in the hopes of winning more consistently. Roulette systems fall into two categories, positive and negative progression systems.

POSITIVE PROGRESSION SYSTEMS - for details on each specific system click following >>>  Oscar's Grind, Reverse Martingale, Paroli

A positive progression system involves players betting more when they are winning and less when they are losing. It can be difficult to identify when’s best to follow a positive progression system, since a streak can’t usually be spotted until it is over. Many positive progression systems encourage players to slowly increase their bet after each win and then to decrease back to the minimum after a loss. Positive progression systems are often viewed as less risky as you won’t lose all of your money in a series of losses. Since I always promote go with the roulette not against it, positive progressions are my personal favorite strategies to follow.

NEGATIVE PROGRESSION SYSTEMS - for details on each specific system click following >>> Martingale, Fibonacci, Labouchere, D'Alembert,...

Negative progression systems are the inverse of positive progression systems in the fact that they encourage players to bet more in a losing streak in order to gain back losses. Negative progression systems are most of the time risky and can quickly empty your balance with significant losses. To avoid this, I always recommend setting a budget limit in advance, and if you feel like you’re losing control, stop and walk away... see my etomino roulette rules.

DO SYSTEMS ACTUALLY WORK?

For years roulette has been subject to intense scrutiny from people trying to “crack it”. In fact, roulette is closely linked to mathematics - some systems (such as the Fibonacci system) are linked to mathematical formulas and many mathematicians have also tried to devise systems for beating the game. French mathematician Blaise Pascal looked into the philosophical problem of how to make decisions involving uncertain events and ended up writing the first book on probability theory. Albert Einstein specifically tried to find a winning solution but concluded that it could not be done. At Online Roulette, I think it’s down to your expectations, all systems have great potential to win but equally they also have big potential to lose - there’s really no guarantee of a victory with ANY roulette system.

THINGS TO CONSIDER WITH ROULETTE SYSTEMS

There’s nothing wrong with testing out roulette systems. I’d always suggest putting them to the test first, trying them out with one of free plays. You can also test these roulette systems with free house money at FREE Roulette Tournament >>> here

I think there are some key considerations that you should bear in mind when using roulette systems. These factors include:

● There’s never a guaranteed win with roulette and no system will be able to provide you with a 100% win rate.

● Systems require an element of pre-planning, so if you prefer spontaneous gameplay they are not for you.

● All systems have positives and negatives, it’s up to you to weigh up the risk versus reward.

● Casinos often invest money into closing loopholes they find, set a budget limit before using any roulette system and remember to follow my rules.
